This course introduces students to Management Information Systems (MIS) and their role in supporting business operations, managerial decision making, and organizational transformation. The course examines how information systems integrate people, processes, data, and technology to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and competitiveness in modern organizations. Students will explore various types of information systems across organizational levels and analyze how data is collected, processed, and transformed into meaningful information for planning, control, and strategic decision making.

Drawing on real-world business and organizational examples, the course highlights how information systems enable digital transformation, support business processes, and respond to emerging challenges such as data

governance, security, and ethical use of technology. The course also introduces the role of analytics and artificial intelligence in enhancing managerial insight and organizational performance. By the end of the course, students will develop a conceptual understanding of MIS and its importance in today’s dynamic and technology-driven business environment.
