Course Goal:

The course is designed to give the students’ an appreciation of accounting requirements  of different types of  organization especially the group transactions. The course is designed to give students   a foundation in cost and management accounting.


Course Objectives: The course concentrates on Advanced Accounting theories and practices and its application to various areas of business. After studying the course, the students should be able to apply the accounting theories and practices in various situations.


Students should know the preparation of  financial statements in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act, and Legislation relating to other accounting entities,Source, authority and use of accounting standards,Understand why group accounts are prepared. Know the Companies Act and the international Accounting Standards requirements in relation to the preparation of group accounts. Should understand the preparation of the published accounts and interpretation of the same. Understand the changes in group accounts and deferred tax.
